I'm looking for a replacement belt to possibly restore a custom Willys on full tracks.

Is anyone aware of a steel reinforced belt material similar to this stuff? Or pssibly a company making reproduction Weasel tracks? (These are weasel tracks).

There was a half track willys posted on here somewhere. It looks like it used the same track material.

Thanks,
Grant

If all else fails, you might try McMaster-Carr. They are an industrial supply company, but they might have that kind of material for a conveyor

find a industrial rubber belting place (like goodyear) and they should be able to make something for you. looks like conveyor belt parts to me...

is all the hardware good and you just need the rubber?

They've been pretty great so far. Looks like something will work. This jeep (as far as I can tell) used the same type of track. Does anyone have any more information or pictures for this jeep?

69...i'v emailed this thread to my friend who owns Army Jeep Parts Inc. He's got connections in the industry and may be able to hook you up.

In the meantime...can you get a measurement on the length/width? You may need to cut down a Weasel track.

Or you can contact George directly...215-788-6012 or sales@armyjeepparts.com

Good luck...cool project!!

Just to keep this going.

Those tracks in your pics are very simple tracks. there a combination of belts and grousers bolted toghter... If you grousers are good and you just need to repalce the belts that all you need to do. you may have track guide pieces on the inside that also get bolted to the grousers or they could be welded toghther..

I could build those thracks very simply if I had the grousers and the required belt length.. So I can do it you can do it. Its not magic.

also skip the matracs web side their belts are not even close.

I know someone mentioned fallline, they supply ski areas with a lot of equipment.. Along the line of the ski industry you may want to try a local ski area "boneyard" I have worked at areas on and off for years and there is always old track laying around the boneyard with the same sort of design as you have in your pics.
You can also try this site http://www.chameleoninc.com/snowcats/
Good luck
