Who's coming to the event to compete? The terrain is a lot like Jellico, perhaps with less Rock involved though it does have some tough rock courses. 2 classes, pretty loose rules, casual atmosphere, lots of fun. And last event had full width axles and rockwells in the winners circle (And a pair of Volvo's:D ).

There's hill climbs, bonus gates, tight courses and the rock gardens etc-

I would be there, but I will be in SLO picking up a few things that weekend.

Are there any other comps scheduled there?

That's a nice cheap event, sounds like I'll make it.

I played in top 1/3 of the rock garden Saturday and walked right through it. once you get on it it's almost a highway for a non-full size rig on the right line. they do have some Jeep sized rocks in there though.

great weekend for Air CJ's birthday bash, anyone else go? where are all of the St. Louis and Kansas City boys?

The last one was lots of fun but had limited turn out of competitors- various reasons. I know that some rules were posted by accident that were wayyyyy.... wayyy stricter than what they actually planned. The event is designed where the average midwestern bigger rig can get out and have fun, be competitive. I think the only class split is tire size, 36 and down or other. Driving, teamwork and reliability were the factors. The rules and tech are pretty loose, cones are pretty loose too and only exist in the rocks, not the woods courses.

The rocks may have been a walk in the park last weekend but I promise its different when they stir them up with the heavy equipment and put a few cones out.

What trails were the courses on?

Is that the pot that will be paid during that event or is it going into a cumalitve (?) pot to paid paid at the end of the series. In other words, is it like every other comp where the winners get paid that weekend. I am not sure if I can attend any of the other events.

May be able to pre reg from going to superlift's site, posted earlier in thread- but yes, you can reg there day of the event.

I don't recall the other finishers of the 36" class but Tommy, a local and talented driver with a blue CJ7 with skittle green cage won.

In the unlimited class

Blume- Rock Rod buggy
Rollins- 117" WB, 44" tire CJ-7
Rice- 120" WB 44" tire sidekick with Rockwells- Looks like 350 sami.

I know a guy from Springfield (dude I bought my jeep from actually) got 3rd place the last one... Green TJ with 9 inch rear, 44 front, atlas 2... he was in first until he broke a shaft...

Where's all the guys who say they'd love a comp designed for bigger rigs????

only $50 to enter the 36 and under class. 40% of the pot money gets put aside for the series winner too- both classes.

You can also show up by Sat 8 AM and run rather than spending a vacation day for a mandatory, all day, 10 minute, tech inspection.;)

You know I just re-read the dates and I don't know WTF I was thinking. I am away the FOLLOWING weekend, and my junk just isn't together. If I had had a clue when you mentioned this up at ERoCC, I'd have it fixed already. Damnit :(

I'll be there, Ken. Unfortunately, still have not got the Scout done. Still recouping from Eric's driving at Cass. This time, however, I will be spotting for another friend of mine Burt Taylor who builds tube chasis' here in Tulsa. He will be in his buggy on Rocks' and 44's. Looking forward to just being there. See ya soon....

BFG is going to award a set of Krawlers to the highest series finisher in each class that is competing on BFG tires in the series.

In other words- all the BFG tired guys have to do is place better than the other BFG tired guys to win. 37's for the big tire class and 35's for the small tire class:D

Thanks for your support BFG!

It is best 3 out of 4 so the series is still wide open!

Thanks Dan,
In unlimited...
Blume- Buggy
Mike Cox - Well built CJ7 on 44's
Tom Rawlins- Well built Scrambler on 44's
Fuller- Well built CJ7 on 40's
Rice- Killer Tracker on Rockwells/44's

Fuller and Rice are guesses at 4th and 5th but should be close to that. Did you make it? I met quite a few people.

This should be correct.

Big Tire

1st Ken Blume
2nd Mike Cox
3rd Tom Rawlings
4th David Ising
5th Allen Fuller (may have came in 5th, but had one hell of a spotter! )

Small Tire

1st Derick West
2nd Matt Flynt
3rd Brad Hillman
4th Matt Mangin

Was David Ising the buggy with the on/ off toggle instead of a gas pedal??

That buggy was well built to survive the thrashing it got.- needs about a 3" dia tie rod though.:D
