: CalRoks was cool.......
SeaBass44 11-18-2001, 11:28 AM Lot of action, lot of rollovers. I'am sure Lance will put up the best pics. Kelly was outdriving allot of guys, girls ect. She "Got It", I left around 3pm got there at 8:30am, I have no idea of the standing, they were running all 7 courses at the same time, hard to watch all the action. I'll get a few pics up later, my camara dosen't take great pics though:( There were over 1,000 people there. Loco and Rabbit showed up later in the day and each told them they were fishing to get in!LOL
Arrow 11-18-2001, 12:11 PM Kelly definatly stole the show, I'd say she was fairly close to the top in points too.
I've got some photos and video, photos I can post when developed, video I'll need help with.
FordPowr 11-18-2001, 03:53 PM CalRocs was sweet....courses were tough, lots of people were timing out and scoring 40 points
1uglyranger 11-18-2001, 04:09 PM The event was definetly good, hopefully by next time they figure out the points scoring a little better. I heard judges arguing on more than one occation. Other than that it was awesome, will definatly be there next time....
66CJdean 11-18-2001, 04:43 PM I thought it was sweet!
SHERPA 11-18-2001, 04:48 PM It was a definate blast.... right up until I lost my wife's camera.
(see "LOST CAMERA AT CALROCS" post..
lots of full-on gettin it! Chris Durham loves the skinny pedal.
lots of turtle-action.
never saw a "food" booth... (hungry hungry hippo we was)
wish I could have stayed and partied after the event was over
next time maybe...
KILLERXJ 11-18-2001, 05:07 PM Kelly was the show for sure. I love to see women that can wheel that well. She ended up #11 by 2 points.
Rokmycj 11-18-2001, 05:22 PM It was great. I only made it up on Sunday but it was worth going.
The only complaint I had was the lack of signage. And the road maps were horrible. :flipoff2:
Other than that the courses and the rigs were niiiiice...........
I would really like to see more of these events in the future.
Old Scout 11-18-2001, 05:35 PM I had a great time, The only thing I would change would be a Food/Beer Vendors and outhouses that had paper and were not overflowing!:barf: :barf: :barf: :rasta:
Scout Dude 11-18-2001, 05:53 PM Well CALROCS will definitely get filed in the "Stuff to remember" file. One thing that myself and others determined was that it seems like you could almost do better if you had a GOOD spotter and poor driver than if you had a POOR spotter and Good driver. I saw lots of roll overs that could have been totally avoided with proper spotting and strapping.
BigDan 11-18-2001, 06:15 PM CalRocs was a blast!!!! I've been to an ARCA event in Farmington NM and it was cool but this was way better, 30 minutes from my house, mostly Norcal people, tons of familiar faces and people fully Gettin IT....Can't wait till the next event..
Thanks too all for making this possible...
JIM3030 11-18-2001, 06:40 PM I was there both days. It was a great show!!! thanks to all the yellow shirts they worked like dogs and did one h#ll of a job!

No Shit! I picked up a can or 2 myself! How can we get people to keep the trail clean after seeing that mess? Hell I saw 1/2 a dozen cans and bottles in the crappers floors, and they were next to garbage bins!!!

Thank you. :D I was a judge on course 3 on Sat and course 2 on Sun. That exit gate on course 2 was INSANE...
My feet and legs are so sore from running up and down the rocks, I can hardly walk. But, it was well worth the effort. Big THANKS to Big Rick and Bob for pulling this thing off. What a show.. :rasta:
ROKCRAZ 11-19-2001, 07:20 AM :smokin: Good job guys nice set up. Whats for next year same time, may be you should put it on memorial day weekend and (2 class) " highly modified and semi-stock" just a thought..
Michael Lopas 11-19-2001, 08:45 AM Quite an event!! And it was put together in a very short time. Compliments to all!!:D :smokin:
BlueYJ 11-19-2001, 09:59 AM Awsome show, the rigs where incredable, the people got into it the cheering could be heard for miles. I wanted to kick the shit out of the dude that threw the beer bottle into the canyon on sunday though. He almost went over with it. That was bullshit.
For all the people who helped put CalRocks together congrats, I dont need to tell you theat next year you need more shitters, Thank god you didnt have food there, you would have found mounds behind rigs all over the place. Cant wait for next year.
