Ahem....... ( sound of cracking knuckles.......) LJ80 expert here.........
I thought of doing this long ago........ and I actually have an LJ80 t-case ( factory in my truck...) and I have also seen it done ( in Reo Fountain's Sj410 p/u....... all I can say is... Bad idea,
the LJ80 came factory with a 1.8:1 HIGH RANGE..... and a 3.10:1 low range
take you engine RPM and double it in all situations..... Hmmm,
you won't be able to drive the thing to the store at less than 10,000,000 rpm ( and I know Suzi engines like to rev but......? )

I also saw it in Reo's truck and would definately say bad idea! He said the fastest he was going 50km/hr with his rpm's at 3grand. He also said that he was afraid of the input shaft going.... that's why he took it out and put in the ott kicker reduction box with the stock sammy t-case. That's what I would recommend or the divorced toy or the sumo case.... but I guess they all cost big bucks and that's what you are trying to avoid...:bounce: :bounce2:

You can go to www.ottindustries.com or do a search and you'll find pics and stuff like that. The guy named Airzuki above is the man that makes this stuff!!

What? me? You're talking LJ-80s. If you were talking FJ-80s (Toy Land Cruiser) I'd have something to say. ;)
