my understanding is all the old post are GONE... search is of no use!

My understanding is:

A) get twin stick units of a dana 18.... Bolt it up.. or make forks that will move both shift rods independetly

B) pull the ball and spring out of the little holes on the side of the case.... there either plugs like tiny freeze plugs over the holes or allen heads? holes will be located in a place that would have access to the shift rods.... memory tells me some where near where the rods exit the case

Above is the link to a twin stick thread. You'll want to keep the popet balls, and remove the interlock pins. The shift rods do not need to be modified at all. You can find twin sticks on early D20's and D18's. Currie also sells a kit.

I did this a long time ago but have a d300 now. Pigpen just did this recently, don't know if it's installed yet. There is a small writeup on my site if you want and a drawing of the shifters and linkage I made. But using a d18 twin stick is the easiest.
