Hey! Where'd that diesel come from? Did they put those in stock down in S. America? Cool. I wonder if that's the same one they put in Canadian Jeeps and Scouts...? (Isuzu)

no, it came out of a Mazda Bongo 4x4 (one of those low milage jap. engines) its a 2.0L TD

in other words... the engine is in heaven now :D
and you wouldn´t believe it... the blue one is not a cj6, rather its a Ford U-50 (made in brazil) - when willys sold out to AMC they did sell the brazil operation to ford... and ford kept building them until 1982 to .... and here comes the hammer ... to military specs...
thats why mine came with front and rear Dana44s (4.89), a 4speed, shackle reversal and a 2,3L engine (ford pinto/mustang)...
thats the story in short...
take

Kick ass. Now how come they can't sell stuff like that in the US? Hell, I wouldn't even care (too much) if they called it a Ford!

We have similar Jeeps built in Pakistan(minus the SOA conversion) ... They usually extend the chasis and the body from 1 to 2 feet.. The Diesel engines used is Pakistan are from Toyotas.. In a CJ we uasually have a 2.0 L Turbo or a 3.0 L 4 cylender... Some ppl put in a Nissan 6 cyl deisel..
Here is a pic of a Jeep about to get rebuilt...

You can see one of the extended Jeeps being built in the background....
