I believe they are simply snowmobile kill switches... I forgot all about that - I better remind my driver to install one! ;)

Camera is down, but $21 at the local marina, quality piece, wires in series, red coiled tether when pulled yanks a toggle.
Some of these type use a litlle lobster claw type clip that keeps a spring loaded plunger up making the connection- if you ever break that clip and don't have a spare it would be a pain- the type I bought is much more durable.
It's designed to be flush mounted in fiberglass, takes up about 1 x 2"

I talked to Craig last night and he told me they have mellowed since St. George about kill switches. He told me that as long as the kill switch killed the engine and fuel pump and was accessable from the outside of the vehicle, that it would be acceptable.
Still, it's always better to follow the rules closely so there can be no debate.
For me, I'd rather have the kill switch close to me because if the rig is burning, noone's gonna run up and save my ass...except RedBspot of course...and I want to be able to shut it all down myself.

unless the driver is knocked unconsious or "pinned" in some way...I guess the best way would be both interior and an exterior...
