I'm a going to be driving in an offroad race soon and it looks to be tons of mud during the four hour enduracne race. Any good tips to keeping the googles clean anf fog free? Last year we tried trear offs and water and mud got under them and what it very hard to see out of..

you can help prevent the mud under the tear offs by building a little eve so to speak out of duct tape. that helps some. you can try roll offs. i myself never have run roll offs only tear offs.

polishing the lense with "rain X" works wanders as well.

i'd say run the tear offs with strategicaley placed duct tape and rain X the lense for when the tear offs are gone.

fog free? i don't know. i've seen soem stuff for that but never have tried it. i use static guard it helps keep the fog down.

Oakley was the first to do this but I'm sure SCOTT and SMITH have the same thing now. Anyway, it is a tear-off system that uses lamination. Water and mud cannot get in between the tear-offs, and more can be applied because they are thinner than older styles. It is the latest and greatest.

Roll-Offs work well. Water can get in between the strip and the lens, then the little string breaks cause it won't slide. You use a "MUD FLAP" (made by SMITH) over the strip and that usually prevents problems. IMO the Roll-offs' work the best for long races.
