Just got a quick question about the BW1354 t-case.
Will a 1354 manual case bolt up to a 3.0l motored 5speed ranger?? I have a shift on the fly 1354 in my 97 now but i hate the shift on the fly crap. Im not sure it the speedo sensor is the same and will bolt up.????

Yes, it'll fit. no prob.

T-cases are the same across all engines, '90-'97.

does this apply to Explorers and Rangers?

Are the ranger t-cases the same bolt up as an explorer t-case?

where do the shift levers come through the floor? Can they be moved to the left of the center counsole?

I have to get rid of this crapy auto t-case and get something I can lock in and will stay locked in.

And where the speedo gears the same accross years and models? I know in 98 the explorer (or 99 something like that) wen to a different speedo setup. Here is what I got now:

ALL Ranger/BroncoII t-cases and '90-'94 Explorers have the same mounting pattern. It is a 5-bolt pattern.
'95up Explorers went to a different t-case. I am not sure if it has the same pattern or not (I would suspect V6 models are the same, V8 not).

The 1354 shifter comes up through the floor to the left of (slightly behind) the stickshift on top of the tunnel (picture it in the same area if you have an auto). 2hi is all the way forward, 4lo all the way back

That speedo gear does appear similar to the Ranger 1354 one.

U will have to ratain your spedo sensor form the shift on the fly 1354 and put in the manual 1354 inorder for you to have a spedo sensor. But once you swap sensors everything works fine.
