I just bought a 97 wrangler and I wanted to ask what size/kind of lift I should get to clear 31" tires w/o rubbing. Any advice is great.

2" spacers

be sure to get 1" BS on 15x6 wheels, too, that'll keep the tires from rubbing when you turn. or is it 6"'s? i always get backspacing confused...

31's will fit without a lift. For a little more space I would put a 1" body lift on, This way Later when you wanna get some real meats and a lift you can still use the 1" body lift. <IMG SRC="smilies/scary.gif" border="0">

yep you don't need a lift to fit 31" Its only one inch bigger than stock.

i thought stock was like 28"?

Just to let you know i have had 31 post but I used to drive an 87 4runner i just bought a tj two weeks ago. Also the tires that came with it are 28's by the way anyone want to buy a 87 4runner? good shape

if you got the option of the 30" tire group your tj most likly came with also a dana 44 rear and 3:73 gears. so there for stock tires on a tj can be 30"
