I am looking at an 87 F-250 XLT with:
460
4x4
ext. cab
good tires, interior, exterior, glass, etc.
draw hitch and bumper hitch
120,000 miles
a/c
gooseneck type tailgate
needs doughnut on pass. side exhaust
The guy is asking 3500.00 for it. I know diesel is the way to go but I am on a budget from hell here.
Thanks guys,
Aaron

That is a little under NADA book. (listed @ $4250) It doesn't seem all bad. Do you know the person selling it? Offer him $2500 and see what happens.........

Depending on the condition of the body IMO. I've seen nice looking ones and really rusty ones. The perks are the Xcab and 4x4.
A friend has an 87? that he might be selling. It has the 6.9 and the Banks Turbo on it. Not sure on the price. I'm trying to swing a deal with him now on it and a starter trailer, I just DO NOT want to be seen driving a F@$D :flipoff2:

Its not a killer deal, I sold my 88 F250 for $1500...it was a regular cab and thats what killed me...the 87 will have a carb 88 was the first year for the 460 to be fuel injected...still a good truck and has some good power...like said earlier, I would offer $2500 and see if they bite...
