I have done many searches and have found all the info i need but one. Will I be able to thread a rod ( since I have a big lathe )and use the adjuster sleeves from the 1 ton ends or should i get the pipe and tap it to thread them in . Which is better and why not the other

I think it's a lot cleaner if you use tube and tap it. I'm sure both will work fine, but the adjusting sleeves are a potential weak spot. I bought the stuff to make my own tubes. Very pleased so far.
