Glenn was pretty far back in the pack on Saturday, and was handi capped on Sunday with a broken rear axle, and a mismatched spare. They kept at it all day long, but the courses were tough enough with all 4 wheels participating.

They sucked it... :( Actually, it did really good on the first course and they finished with 1 point (I think) but they broke the left rear shaft and the one they had resplined for a spare was not right. It was 31 splines and they needed a 30 spline. So basically they were done for the day on Sat. On Sunday, they did attempt a couple of obstacles with on three wheel drive and did score some points but ended up in 17th place, just ahead of the 'flying Texans'.. We called em that cause they spent more time hanging from the big blue crane than they did driving on the rocks. :D:D

I think Glenn and Kurt's rig would have done really good had they not broken that shaft. Or if they had a spare that fit. It was workin nice with those big 38.5 Baja Claws... :D

From your epxierence and watching this weekend's Comp. how are the SXs hooking up / doing compared to all those Krawlers and MTRs??

I had to air them down 4 lbs to get them to really grab well on the rock, at that pressure I gave up a lot of clearance.

So do you feel they still hold their own, or worthy enough to be used on a Comp. Rig?

I`m not sure if you`ve tried other tires, if so how would you say they compare to what you have tested/used.. even in the past..


I noticed a couple other guys running SXs stil... if you have anything to say chime in.. and don't say you went to a goodyear/bfg cuz u got a deal :flipoff2:

As for the use of sx's everyones had them and 15" rims then BFG came out with the Crawler.
I know they are getting BFGs for free but you still have to come up with the bling bling for the 17" rims so i can see that being a factor for the buget or non-sponsored competetors too.
