I was wondering if anyone here has personal experience racing baja 5-1600. I am interested in starting a team but I'm not really sure what it takes. I know about the rules and regs but I cost seem to find out how much it would cost to run a car for a season and if sponsors really alleviate most of the costs. If anyone's got any tips about any aspect of running a 5-1600 car that would be great...

I raced one for 2 years, in SCORE and La Rana races. I then swithed to 1-1600. 5-1600 is fun, however I would't waste my time with 5-1600 I would go right to 1-1600 it's cheeper and the longer wheelbase makes it much better. .02
