Well this thing is LOUD!!!!!! Very bad sound's! It has been like this for some time though it was the SM465 before but know now it is the Atlas. This thing is less than a year old. Will be pulling it out tonight and taking a look in side. Anyone ever have this happen to them?? Just looking for a heads up. thanks..........

Start the ball rolling with AA. They have had a few of their t-cases go out being jacked up from the factory. My buddy just got his replaced from them and a few freebies for his troubles.. I saw another article about a similar problem, i'll look around for you and see what I find.

Describe the sounds. I had kind of a "clackety-clackety-clackety" thing going on from the day I put it in. Ran it that way for a few months and gave AA a call. Brought it up to them and they found a casting fault on the input gears. Replaced the input gear assembly for me. They seem like good guys who will do right by you.

Well it is real loud gear noise. Pluse when you go in to reverise it binds a little. There is metal in the sight tube. Going to try them today and see what they say. Also going to take it out tonight. I will keep you guys on the up and up. (Oh yeah this is for 1MEANYJ he dosn't get on the computer much)
Thanks:flipoff2:

Don't drive it at least untill you change the fluids and flush it.

1MEANYJ (Steve) is going to be calling this morning. We tried last night but it was to late. We got the cover off and saw some very bad wearing on the gears and some chipped teeth. Not looking good in there. Any help you guys could give would be great we have NEUROC to try and make on 5/17.

I was only joking, Im sure he had plenty of fluid in his Atlas, if not, then he was only asking for trouble.

Well I hope to not need there service, but if this year goes as last year, and we destroy a transfer case again,, I will be needing help, as we are not taking a spare Atlas II with us, and I doubt I'll find one in a yard like we did for the trashed Dana 300.

Great to hear AA standing behind there sales.
