Well, after three months since being laid off and spending WAY too much time with you fawkers, I sent in my acceptance letter on an offer from Dell Computers this AM, I'll be a Project Manager in their Latin American segment, specifically for the Caribbean region. I start next Monday, tomorrow I gotta go take a piss test, I hope the poppy seed roll I had with dinner last night doesn't throw off the results! :flipoff2:
I'll still be around, but the learning curve for this job is short and I won't have access to PBB from work, I'll have to check in late at night when I get back.
FWIW, my 13-week job search was a very frustrating experience; the job market is very soft, both in my field and in the geographical areas of my preference. Despite working with a head hunter in Phoenix, I couldn't find a SINGLE solid lead there, even though it was my top destination and I targeted it pretty agressively. Thankfully it paid off, I was running out of options and money was getting very tight.
To those of you who are still looking, chin up, keep plugging, be absolutely shameless about asking for a contact or a job opportunity, and be prepared to consider a relocation. Stay on it, stay focused, it's going to happen!!
Cheers and Good luck!
