BBurris

I can't count...it's 33 days if you don't count today and plan to get there on friday...

I forgot that I also have to move out of my apartment and garage here by the 31st, I'm going to Vegas June 16-19, and my Jeep still needs to be fixed...

I have to figure out how to get myself from way down here in North Mexico to Dallas to fly out early on the 16th, then leave Dallas on the 20th and meet up with my spotter in Katemcy... so far the plan is to drive the Jeep to Dallas if it's been running well enough, park it and go to Vegas, then he'll drive my truck and trailer to his g/f's house in San Antonio mid week, then we'll both get to Katemcy on friday... damn Jeep better not break down in that 14 hrs of driving

Madzooki
05-18-2003, 04:54 PM
Well I have to get the Samurai that I just bought into my actual possesion. I got the title, but Im letting him drive it for a few more days. Then I have to fix a rear wheel bearing and seal on it, install rear disc brakes, put in the welded spider gears, finagle another set of 4.57's for it, put in the front locker, and try to put in the power steering setup, leaks or no leaks. All this and it is still a SPUA Samurai with 29x10.50 SX's. Oh yeah I still have to put rocker protection on it too, I would hate to crush a beautiful rocker on a rust free sami, since it is still so low to the ground.

Paul

BBurris
05-18-2003, 07:38 PM
Why can't you go SOA and keep those tires? It might look funny, but it's a Sami so it already kinda does.

Madzooki
05-18-2003, 07:45 PM
Because it would cost money for a Zlink or a crossover steering setup that I dont have right now. Besides that I told the wife that it would stay like this till we pay off the CC that I bought it on. I was completely out of debt till I had to go buy that DAMN Samurai...They are addictive. Oh well! At least I can drive the company truck until all the mods are done to it.

After the last week of wheeling/rolling/loaning out my EB I think it's going to require some serious TLC before I make TPP...

Damage from this last weekend...

Fubared wiring
Fucked front clip

I am counting on having all the damage fixed by the second weekend in june and then bringing it home to work on it and put in my new engine.

The PS probably wont get done. The front locker isnt that bad with out it, Im just beat by the end of a long weekend. I know i can do my own SPOA, I just dont want to rush it now, when it will do just fine like it is. It will look all fawked up with 29's on it and a SPOA. This one is actually my DD that I said I wouldnt mess with for a while. Ill start driving it after I get everything done to it, that I need to do. It needs a Tbelt, waterpump, and im gonna do belts and hoses and all that other crap that everyone puts off till too late. If I can come up with one more set of 4.57's then I probably do a SPOA on it.

Yeah I might be interested in those. I've actually got so many axles laying around its funny. TXBlake keeps asking me where all of these axle shaft in my garage keep coming from. But more are always good.

Now heres a situation: Everyone give me advice

A mutual friend left his old Samurai at another friends JY like 8 months or a year ago to store it. The first owner has disappeared off the face of the earth. The JY owner is trying to tidy up so he can move his JY to another location and has no papers on this Samurai. The JY owner friend told me that if I want to haul off the Samurai I can. I have tried to get ahold of the friend that owns it, because i really want the title to it also...but to no avail. Would you guys take it and strip it, or just leave it there and not piss off the friend that hasnt been around in a year?

Good Idea I hadnt thought of that one. Has anyone here ever filed for a mechanics lein? How much of a pain in the ass is it?

Not any worse than a regular title. You file the lein, then if he doesn't answer the state in like 30 days the title will be yours. I'll find out the particulars on it tomorrow. I have a friend in the body shop bidness that does it frequently for work that people don't want to pay for....:D

You're gonna be at TPP right, just toss them in the bed of your truck. Or the next time TXBlake goes home Ill get him to pick them up. I should be flat towing the baby zuk up there so I should have room in the bed for stuff. Thanks!

Doesn't it have to be somthing he agrees to? I don't think you can just take the vehicle, work on it, and then get the lean.

Doug, you seriously need to learn how to drive. Those pics look like the ones of Camo rolling on flat ground. I'm willing to bet we could find a bum off the street and HE could wheel that bitch better than you.

I'm glad none of my friends can steal my junk...

Next time Blake goes home I will get him to meet up with you. I dont make it to Houston much. For free stuff tho i will try. ;)

That ledge is a hell of a lot steeper than it looks from those pictures. Every person that I have ever seen try taking that line has rolled. I didn't, but my long wheelbase and twin stick played a large part in it. My driving skill certainly didn't.

Why would we want to steal your junk? I don't think anyone could do a better job of breaking, rolling, and staying on the crane than you. Hal, words truely can't describe your ability to thrash your junk. Only in Team 21.

Then we went to Mineral Wells and after gunracer and I slipped off in the trees, I tried to climb a hill or two. Couldn't do it because I can't drive, so now out of shame I am going to be Doug's goat back in Midland. Everyone has their place in life I guess. Hope the guy selection at TPP will be good.;)

This is funny because I to am gay. I can't wheel to save my life, but you should still give me props for amazingly being able to roll on the smallest rocks I can find. By the way I also can't handle my alcohol, and if you ever get to meet me I guarantee you'll hear one of my 4 favorite stories. So don't worry even though my Bronco won't ever make it to Mason, i'll still be able to run around telling stories about that one time I made that awesome roll!
