oh the cage is coming... i just cant fit this tubby bitch in my garage with a cage on.. the roof clears the top of the seats by less than 2 inches... i pull the rollbar to get it in..

right now im looking for (used) solid forklift wheels larger than 15" diameter to mount to roll it in and out of my garage on. if i cant find them, ill get some junkyard rims, and have 50 series lo-profiles mounted.. and use them for moving in and out of garage.

Full cage I had on my CJ5 wouldn't have helped much there either. The front-to-rear tubes were all in the center

BTW, worst tree rash I've ever gotten wheeling was in CO, so the West isn't immune to that sort of scenario either ;)

So, where was that?

Jellico (not Tellico) ten. there is a kewl group of people out there working on a Uroc rock crawling series on the east side for 2002. this is 700 acres of abandon strip quarry, lots of piled rocks, and really neat obstacles. they had thier first "competition" last weekend, as a trial run.. and it was a blast.. couldnt make it to Calrocs, so this was the second best thing !

I say forget the rims and tires. I just let all the air out of my tires. I still scrape just a little.

condo living, folks. if i scar up the "common area" pavement with tireless rims, then i get billed for it.

and those damn swampers are so stiff, i can core the valvestems, and they still dont deflate enuff...

Just goto the local tire store and see what tires they have in their recycle area. Since it's only to get it into the garage, bald tires will be fine (maybe even better, less tread :D )
