Ive searched in the archives and on the net...I just want to know if the warner T18 and T19 cases are the same ? I belive the T19's came out of 74' to 87' fords trucks ? I would also like to know if the T19s ever came with a hydro clutch bell housing ?
AA makes a kit that im after to hook my T-case to a T18 or np435, so I was just curious if the 19 would bolt right up ? I want the 19 so I can have the syncroed 1st gear.
Thanks

I think the case is the same, but I'm not sure. Here's (http://www.novak-adapt.com/knowledge/t18_t19.htm) a site with some goos info.
BTW, the 83-87 diesel trucks with a t-19 used a hydralic clutch, and I think the gasser 250 and 350's did too.

AFAIK You will ONLY find a Ford T-19 in an 83-91 truck with a 460 or diesel.
As for people looking for a specific to tranny bell(this bugs me, and is most likley a result of the T-5 using it's own bell), all the truck trannys use the same bellhousing bolt pattern, input shaft legnth and spline count, including the crappy O/D boxes, and the strong but without a low gear 3.03 3 speed.
The T19 case isn't identical to a T18, they are supposedly the same overall legnth. However, the T19 has dual PTO ports, while the T18 only has one. I haven't had them side by side(or ever seen a T18 for that matter) so, I don't know if the output shaft or t-case adaptor would be interchangeable.
Edit:
The Novak site is waay off base when it says the T18 and 19 are externally identical, and, I'm pretty sure the number of ratio sets also. According to my 84 Ford manual set, the T19 used in the 83-up F250 HD and 350 behind the 460 and diesel is the T19B.
Or, I could be all wrong, and what's referred to as a T-19 in these trucks isn't a T-19 at all, even though that's what the manuals say... On the two I've seen(my 86 behind the 460, and my buddy's 85 behind his diesel) 13-09 is cast into the case and top cover....

82F100SWB, I think your right the novak adapter site is wrong on several acct's it says the t-18 has a syncro 1st and it doesnt.
That is the site I was looking at to get some of the info.
Thats the problem im running up against. Ive got a mustang 5.0 w/ a WCt-5 and I would run it but the 1st gear sux and I hear they arnt that strong anyway, plus then I want to add dual t-cases behind it.

The 6.9 disels (83-87) were definetly a t-19b. I think the b indicates the closer ratios.
