I've got a chance to buy a 1988 crown victoria station wagon for really cheap to go into my 69 and I don't know if it is a Mass Air setup or not. Is this a good choice for an efi engine or should I keep looking for a Mustang 5.0 mass air setup?

It's speed density, it works very well less complicated. Can easily produce 300 hp on a speed density motor, and you can, contrary to uninformed popular belief, swap cams within a set range. But speed density is less forgiving with mods. I run a '87 Crown Vic in my '69, it works great.

John Deere why do you say so? I was waiting for a stang motor to come around, but this is a good deal. Just to let you know the circumstances it is the entire car for under $200. That gets me an engine and an AOD trans for by rig.

ok, so you got the car cheap enough to use the motor.... sweet.
Shit can the tranny, it will cost way too much to convert to a 4x4 unit and it will likely be too long even if you do. Besides.... AOD's suck and they :nuke: too easy...:flipoff2: :flipoff2:
Good luck tho, I wish you the best:rolleyes:

That's where ny junkyard dog motor came from. I have since added 19 lb. injectors, computer and a cam. I am very happy with it. (for now):D

I also run the AOD and love it, for the price you are paying you can have that tranny built real well, or run it until it burns up. They are super easy to rebuild, and plentiful as heck at pull n save, in Denver anyways. I have seen some speed density motors that flat out haul the mail, freaks people out when you tell them it's S.D. too. I was sceptical at first of S.D., but I have seen the light, I say do it, it's too damn cheap not to.
