: Adapting brake lines

I am going to order brake lines from Earl's, and need to know what length is commonly used for sas jobs on Import rigs like Toyotas. They also asked me what size the connections are and I don't really know. The axle is a d44 from a waggy, and my rig is a Nissan, which is most likely the same as a Toyota. Anyone know the nut and thread sizes for these lines? They said the lines can be made to fit, or I can get an adaptor, I want them made to fit though.

Looks like it is time to whip out the tape measure. Waggy's use 3/16 fitting Toyota uses metric crap so it is probably 10 mm.

A lot of the toyota guys use the "longer" IFS lines from their lifts to attach to the waggy calipers (usually 3/8 x 16 thread). The toyotas are normally a 10 mm thread pitch. if I was you I would use the 3/16 inverted flare from a chevy front frame lines and re flare them to your nissan hardline....done...:D

have you guys seen the re-usable brakeline fittings? they are like the hydro lines that you can instal on hydro hose with a wrench. i can get steel teflon braided brake line for under $3/ft, and the ends for $6. either with a banjo or AN -3 end. that way if you ever brake anything on the trail you can easily repair it. im supprised i dont see more guys using these.
