I picked up a front diff but its different then the one I have.
The carrier bolts through the other side of the ring gear??
:confused:
I was going to use my Auburn limited slip but now I don't think I can.
What did I pick up?

How many different LC diffs are there?
fine spline - coarse spline - ?
Is the difference just my Aurburn LS carrier?

I'm not sure what you mean either. The Cruiser third members are all the same from like 67-90 (I'm sure there are a few exceptions). The only real difference is that some have coarse-splined side gears, and some have fine-splined ones. Is the diff you have open, or does it have some kind of locker/LSD already in it?

are you talking about how the ring gear bolts on. glow-n-dark had some trouble with that last week. i sold him some fj60 gears to put in his 40. the 40 used bolts through the carrier and the ring gear was threaded. the fj 60 used bolts and nuts. am i on the right track? mike

yeah thats probably it. Another guy was trying to describe it to me. So can you swap parts back and forth ??
