Well hell. Somehow a puddle of water has accumulated under the carpet under the drivers side of my FJ62. This is the first time I have noticed it, but it may have been there for a while b/c there is a rail that runs along the side that most of the water was in. Oh yea, there is a bundle of wires that run through that same damn rail. I haven't located the source of the leak yet, but when I do what should I do to fix it? I'm positive it is not a rust hole. maybe I should just rhino line the interior or something?

FJ 62s have Air Conditioning...
AC will produce water when working.
This is normal.
If.... The weep hole/tube gets clogged that is supposed to drain this water to the groud outside the water often soaks carpet, passengers, etc.
I would check this first.

if it wasnt a 62 I would say,...drill more drain holes! :D

Im not at all familiar with 62's, but 40's have a vent that sits behind the hood and infront of the windshield. they fill up with water and drain via a elbow shaped hose that travels from under the dash, back out the firewall. If the hose is cracked or missing, she will dump.

another thing to check while you are at it,......at our swapmeet last year Krusty Cruiser was backing his 60 out of his spot with a trailer. He jack-knifed it and it creased his 1/4 pannel. about a gallon of shit poured out of the bottom of the 1/4  everyones first thought was that he pulled off his filler tube, but it turns out his 1/4 was full of water. I guess rain was seeping in from around the tail lights or something and filling the 1/4 with pluged drain holes.

well i don't think that A/C thing is it considering it is winter and i haven't used it in months. i'm sure it is rain water doing it, but i just don't know where it's coming from.

Can't be the AC. The only place where condensate collects is on the passsenger side inside the ductwork at the evap coil.

Look closely at your rain gutters, they have been known to develop minor cracks and start to leak. Also look at the weatherstripping on the windows on the doors, I replaced all mine last summer.

When it rains, I end up with a very small puddle of water on the passenger-side floor on my FJ55. It turns out that the seal around my windscreen leaks. Maybe check yours next time it rains.
