I got Tj flares on my YJ, Well I did I cut the front ones off, The back is easy just cut the back flares so they are smooth cut off all the nipples and the lip that runs the length of the flare's, Then cut about 2-3inches from the back use a marker for judment,Then just use self tappers and some big body washers so they cant pull through , I have seen front Tj flares on a Cj but they dont fit well I would just flat fender it, But its about the same process as the rear flares,Just get the flares and you will see how to do it... <IMG SRC="smilies/massey.gif" border="0">

Why? If you want bigger openings, use TJ flares.

Here's a pic of mine with YJ flares:

I grafted the front YJ flares on it when I swapped on the YJ tub (which came with its own flares and side steps), but the CJ and YJ tubs are the same. I had to trim the front flares at the back to shorten them and then trimmed the fender back to the inner liner to match up with the flare. Some trimming of the mounting flange for the flare too so it would match up with the CJ fender. Right now my Heep is torn apart, but when it goes back together I'll be trimming the fenders so they line up with the bottom of the YJ flare. The YJ flares are wider than the CJ flares, and doing the trimming I mentioned above provided room for 35's with a shackle reversal.

I put the TJ flares on my jeep. There is a lot of cutting involved with the front fenders & you have to reshape the inside of the fender well. I did gain about 2.5 inches of clearance. I can run 35's with a 4" lift.
