Well i picked up my axle this weekend and got it complete with the leafs, shackles, brakes and steering. the interesting thing i noticed is that the shackles have a reversed mounting for the frame. the frame has 2 plates hanging down with a hole through them that the shackle fits in between, the shackle has a section of pipe with the bushings in it instead of the normal way with the bushings on the frame. heres a couple pics to clarify.

My question is should i go ahead and use the wagoneer shackle setup or should i buy new shackles and new brackets to weld onto my truck. if i use the wagoneer setup i can fab my own brackets for almost nothing and weld em on. if i go to a more normal setup i'll need to buy the brackets ($65) and pick up some shackles from the junk yard. what do you think i should do? BTW i'm mounting the shackles on the frame behind the axle
