Anybody know the torque specs on the clamp bolts that hold the rear driveshaft on to the rear axle? Here's a REALLY BAD picture, but it should get the point across.

don't know, it's a really small bolt, so it's not going to be much.

I normally just snug them down good then check one more time after 50 or so miles.

That's what I figured the last time i busted a rear U joint, but it didn't seem to work. I am fixing it up tonight, so i guess I will just have to do it again, and hope that it doesn't let go again.:nuke: :nuke:

how do you know it was those nuts that backed off that did it? sure it wasn't binding, worn joint, hitting it one something, etc.?
