A buddy of mine is building up a Jeep. His ultimate plan is to have the Jeep be able to compete in an event such as the Top Truck Challenge.

He recently had a motor built...a Chevy small block 400 that has around 450 hp with 450 ft lbs of torque @ 4500rpm.

The tranny he has is a Chevy turbo 400.

He is looking for a torque converter builder.

Any thoughts?

If I remember right, TCI makes HD converters that have stock stall RPM. Might try Summit.

also try B&M and Hughes. Hughes can make one to spec i think.
