Can someone tell me where to drill and tap the box so I can run a hydro assist ram? The box is from an 86 Ford Bronco. Is this even a decent box or is there a better box I should swap in. I think I read in Petersens that the ford boxes suck, but I don't know if I should take there word for it or not. I would rather stick with the ford box if possible.
My rig is an 86 Bronco that I am putting 2 1/2 ton rockwells under.
Thanks all

The FoMoCo boxes are plenty strong. In some cases even stronger than Saginaws. It's the Pumps that suck Arse. I would highly recommend coverting to a Saginaw pump when you do the convertion. Check my Website for some good mods to that type pump.

Hey slug,
Matt(lakerat) is right, atleast upgrade to the sag pump. On my 94 it was very easy. I just got the bracket and pump from the same year E350 van and it bolted right in. I also got an AGR pump, but you could probably just do the mods on matts webpage and be good.
I have heard very good things about matt's work at westtexasoffroad.com so he is modifying my stock Ford box right now. If you really want to do it yourself I can get pictures when he sends it back, but he also goes thru the box and makes sure everything is in good working order. Let me know or give him a call
