i have a 14 bolt from like an 83 truck and i can't figure out how to get the hubs and drum off. i un did the clip that is in front of that big ass bolt, and then i thought all you had to do was use a tool with the little 6 teeth on the end to undo the bolt but something is stopping it. i called one place and the said that i have to bend back something? what are they talking about. plz help thx.

i'm not positive, since i've never worked on a 14 bolt before, but is there a lock ring in it? like on the front end hub? makes sense to me anyhow...see if there is one, then pull that out and get to the other nut. hope this helps some.

There are two different style of "locking nuts" on the 14b hub. One is the large clip thing, hard to miss. It has a bunch of little tabs on it- One will be bent into one of the notches on the first hub nut. Unbend that. The other way is a little key that fits into the notch on the spindle and lines up with a noths on the nut. Pull that out with some needle nose pliers.
