: 305/6.2 Starter Interchange?

Hey guys, another quick Q.

Do the diesel 6.2s and the 305/350 share the same starter? I would expect yes but just to possibly save myself some time I want to confirm.

I've got a line on a `91 K2500 6.2 that is in good condition except a non-functional starter (just grinds against the flywheel). I figure it would be wise to take the starter off my blown `90 C1500/305 to get the diesel started before making an offer. :)

(I'm not going to replace the engine in the C1500 - same money gets me a semi working functional truck with better features for a lot less work).

Thanks all.

no they dont and the 6.2 starter is about 200$ the diesel takes a lot more torque to turn over I am guessing on this but I think the teeth are different also. I happen to have a new starter for a 6.2 I no longer have a need and would sale cheap if interested.
