Well, I'm working on a bumper and front receiver setup, and just thought I'd share some pics for those of you looking for ideas. I'm actually doing this bumper for a firend with a similar year blazer, but he's in Phoenix, so I'm using mine as a template. I'll be doing pretty much the same design for my self. Any questions, comments or suggestions? I'm looking for input here!

This is what it should end up looking like:

i think it will look really good but it seems that on the sides it does not stick out far enough to provide much protection. but i guess it will have a low profile which is good for squeezing through things.

That's kind of where I was going with it. These rigs are wide enough as it is, I didn't want too much stuff sticking out. Much of the damage I have seen has been from the bottom up in to the fenders. Maybe it's just been my experience.

I also haven't seen any really good ways to add strength to the wrap arounds when they are up that high due to the location of the core support, so would think, even doubled up, they would be fairly easy to fold in to the fender anyways, even with the tubes doubled up there. It might help with minor abrasions, but I can't see any real way to make them handle a hard smack with bend there already unless we punched through the core support and tied in to the main bar somehow

I like the design with the hitch integrated in the tube bumper.
if your looking for strengh near the bend use a larger dia tube
and with such a big vehicle it will look better and make it stronger
