We just got back from Avalanche Ranch! We had a great time. There wasn't very many competitors but had one of the best times in awhile. If you can believe it we didn't even roll. We all camped out and had a great time around the camp fire. Everyone that didn't show up really missed out. It was cool to climb in the trees and not in the desert. I had my brother joe drive and he placed first. I might of lost my driving seat. Great job Rich and company!

Way to go to everyone at Avalanche Ranch, big Rich and staff. This was our first time compeating in a rock crawl event and were addicted. Gotta enter some more events as we can get the buggy's front drive line fixed so we dont break it every time we drop off a ledge.

Agreed that CalRocs is a super great contest...I'm bummed we missed it this time around!

I wrote to Rich saying I wouldn't be there only because of my son's graduation in Las Cruses as I didn't want him to think I was pissed at him over that dovetail business ...
A bunch of us local wheelers went up there last fall for their grand opening and had a great time.
Anyone doing a tour of the 4-Corners area ought to put Avalanche on their itinerary.
It's really pretty up there and there are trails for everyone's taste from mild to hairy.
I'm really sorry I missed out on all the fun!
