This is way the heck off topic and I will delete it if you don't like it. Buttttt.....I need players.

The SEF wing of the 23rd fleet was established to respond to any crisis on the external galactic boarder of the Federation. However the mission was not staffed and due to the dominion war the project was backburner for a time.

In 2405 Star Fleet was shifting personnel as they shifted from war
time back to a peace time footing. It became apparent that some
officers and crew would be unable to reintegrate with the kinder
softer image Star Fleet was trying to present to the universe. The
answer was the 23rd fleet's expeditionary force. A small light force
sent to the very edge of the galaxy to guard against assault by
forces from the other side of the galactic barrier.

During the initial mission a Klingon advisor was added and now a
small group is included in the force.

Join us as we guard the frontier from all those who would invade. Be
prepared for things that will shock and amaze, Tholians, Gorn and
Planet Killers, oh my. Fort Hay a small forward outpost set on the
very edge of Federation space currently acts as home base for this
small force. The area of space that you are responsible for is
almost completely unexplored, one of the few ships to be out this
far was the USS Enterprise-D (Seasons 1-2 TNG). There are vast
stretches of space still to be explored, new phenomena and new
species to discover.

Currently we have most major positions available for the USS
Tigersclaw (Saber Class) and IKS K'pec (B'rel Class) Positions:

Fort Hay, CiC, Engineer, Ops, Science and many others.

IKS K'pec, All but Captain

I am an old school GM. Meaning that I run NPC's and don't play in the game like a character. I give you setting and you tell me what you do. The station, player ships and all actions are controlled by the players.


State of the Federation

The Federation has entered its second great era of peace. While this
sounds good, it is always hard on the warriors of any group. The fall of the Dominion and the general lack of Borg activity has lulled the Alpha quadrant into a state of easy living and exploration.

All through the lower half of the galaxy, shipyards have been building new ships as fast as they can be welded together. During the Dominion war 99% of the ship graveyards and reserve ships where destroyed or stripped of usable parts. This has given Star Fleet a new opportunity to build up the fleet with modern vessels. While they have been concentrating on smaller multi-role vessels, there have been several new ships of the large ship classes assembled.

There has been an active officer exchange with the Romulan fleet for the past several years. The experience has been invaluable to both sides.

Over the past 120 years some 63 ships have gone missing in the area of the now believed extinct Iconian Empire. The empire fell some 10,000 years ago but ships still disappear in its space. Fort Hay Outpost was constructed to help investigate and to serve as a jump off point for ships heading into that sector of space.

There have been rumors of activity in the Talos star group. The only sector in space still off limits to all ships.

Ever since the USS Enterprise-A crossed the galactic barrier there have been several most attempts. None have succeeded entirely. Many ships that cross it have only been heard from again in the form of the message buoys. Most talk of strange mutations in the crew or being attacked by ships that appear out of nowhere.

The Klingons have been working with the Federation to shore up the borders and to hunt down the remaining Dominion forces.


Famous Ships of the line.

Contact was lost with the USS Voyager on its way back from the Delta
quadrant. One shuttle managed to slip through a small wormhole but its computer system was fried and only a few of the crew made it back. No technical data survived. The Crew that made it back were, Harry Kim, 7 of 9, The Doctor, Tom and B'elanna Paris. (Around the 4th season)

The USS Enterprise 1701-E was refit to Ark Royal specs (Not made an Ark Royal) after an incident with the Reman ship Scimitar in the Romulan neutral zone. This incident helped foster a new peace between the Federation and the Romulans.

The USS Defiant-A is still on station DS-9 guarding the wormhole.

The NX Enterprise was lot during it's initial mission after only 6 months. Nothing is known about it's disappearance save for the fact that they where investigating a magnetic storm at the time.

If you can run VB6 apps... I will send you the one I wrote. I just modied some code I had that grabbed some registry keys (Microsoft loves using Hex in the registry) and converted them to text. I think it will run in XP without the VB6 run times... but anything else and you will need them. Unix and Linux are my weakpoints though - so I couldn't even tell you what you would need to run it there.
