I put in my Rebuilt box from WTO, i put the pump in aswell, as you may know, UPS screwed my pump over, so i took the parts that Matt modified from the old pump and put them in another pump, i got everything hooked up now.... I thought that when i got all this stuff together that i would be able to turn my wheels in my driveway at a dead stop, but when i try to do this the steering wheel will turn a little bit and stop, then the belt will start squeeking and the tires wont move. The belt is brand new, and tight...

Also when im driving, the steering wheel feels real tight, and returns to center real quick, Also itll shake as i go down the road, as in itll move about an inch back and forth etc. etc. all the way down the road.

Does anyone have any help for me? i know there are a lot of probs Stuffed into one post, Let me know if i should make a couple diff posts..... Thx a lot

Oh yea, I do not have the Ram hooked up yet, as im waiting for it to be shipped still.... But it seems like i should have more steering force with a rebuilt box and modified pump and xover, Versus my old stock setup. and worn out box.

I have the same stuff as you but with the ram hooked up.

My box by itself is weaker now than it was when I sent it to Matt. And with the ram hooked up and pump modded to max pressure I still can't turn my wheels at a stop at idle, if I touch the gas to 800+ rpm I can but not at my 650 idle rpm.

My wheel does not shake at all with the ram on, without it on it did but only because of the 40" tires hitting the ripples in the road.

I have hydroboost brakes though and that accounts for most of my problems to which I am still looking for a solution.

Anyway, just wanted to let you know your not alone:)

you got any ideas on what my prob is? Is it just that i dont have enough steering power. im gonna be kinda pissed if the ram doesnt help. Not pissed at WTO, but pissed in General. im running 40"S aswell, but i think i might have figured that shaking out... I found that one of my degree shims are broken in half, and i can take the big piece, (piece on front half of spring perch,) And wiggle it around with the tires on the ground and all the weight on the axle........ :frustrated:

Well, put the ram on and see what happens. Like I said, after Matt rebuilt my box it is quite a bit weaker than my box was stock... But when I put the ram on it has tons of power over 800 rpm.

Yep, I had the same problem. Mine was on back order for a good 2-3 weeks. I ran without it for that time and thats when I noticed that the box was alot weaker. But it was alot tighter with less slop but adding the ram is like a night and day difference.

the shaking is more than likely your tires...i'm running 40's as well and they shake bad. i have cross-over steering as well. the ram should help a lot.
