Hey Big Rich, I had a couple of ideas for CalRocs next year. I'm sure other people will have some as well, so I thought I'd start a thread.

An RTI ramp for everybody that didn't participate but still took their rigs

An old junked out car that people could put a tire up on and take their picture.

A swap meet so people can clean their garages!!!!

Why not?? They have em set up at the Summit truck show every summer?? Sign the waiver and drive on.

It's aleast worth looking into.

I for one would like to thank Big Rich and everyone. The show was great!! And offer my services for next year. Or for any of the comps between now and then. I think it was killer!!

It's also a business & if adding some cost-free elements to the event means more people will show up, you've got to consider it. Besides, if all you're interested in is seeing or participating in the rock-crawl, you don't have to bother with the rest.

Next year you mean we have to wait that long! Well OK then How about a January 1st Snow bashing competition.:D

but serriously even a less formal more like carnage on the con winter event would be cool.

Rich,
It would be great for the spectators, if on one of the more challenging of the event courses, (where the crowds tend to gather) if you had an announcer, with a PA system, to introduce the drivers name, quick discription of the rig, and current results/Highlights from his score card. It would allow the crowds to be able to more easily identify, and cheer for their favorite drivers.

Here are some of the things I would like to see at the next event Some were mentioned above some werent:

1. More trash cans closer to the trails. They had them but they were a ways away. ( and who ever was tossing the cans a foot from the trash and not in :flipoff: )
2. More out houses
3. Annoncer on each coarse saying name of driver points so far and best points on the obsticale for the day.
4. Food vendors.
5. Maybe some type of grandstand for spectators. Once it got a few rows deep it was hard to see what was going on.

Things I really liked about the event.

1. The trails were great.
2. The spectators were cool
3. The drivers were cool
4. Between gates you go go and check out a rig closely that you thought were cool And some of them you could even ask the drivers directly about the rigs.
5. The length of the event 9-5 on saturday made a nice day trip up.
