: NEED HELP! I broke off the bleeder screw for the clutch Kicker 09-11-2001, 04:41 PM I was trying to losen the zerk fitting to bleed my clutch (stock trans) and it snapped right off. Insayn 09-11-2001, 06:55 PM Get a square shaped e-z out from Sears. Hammer it into the opening of the bleeder screw and try and get it out by turning it counter clockwise. I have tried the threaded e-z outs and they didn't work like the square ones. 88YJ 09-11-2001, 08:19 PM If you can't remove it with a easy out on the vehicle you'll have to take it off and put it in a vise. Try tapping on it with a hammer, sometimes that will break it free. Good luck SweetCJ7 09-12-2001, 10:59 AM Remove it from the vehicle, drill it out, and then run a tap through it to clean it up. Jeep Josh 09-13-2001, 03:10 PM A good set of easy outs is a must have for any garage. The set will tell you what size hole you need for each size easy out. You should get a left handed drill bit for each size necessary. Drill the center of the fitting with the correct size Left Hand bit, as you drill apply pressure in small bursts this can cause the bit to bite the material and break the threads free. A left hand bit will many times retract the broken bolt with out the need of the easy out.
