an interesting picture, a factory drilled and tapped passenger's side flat
top knuckle. Apparently it was out of a FSJ of some sort. But he wasn't
sure the exact make, model, and year/years. Would anyone have any idea?

Here is a link to the knuckle picture:

Go to "Flat Top Knuckle". It sure LOOKS like a factory job to me. Anyone
know how to track down a potential vendor that might sell this part new?
Factory?

my flat tops came on the axle from a 76 wag ( the axle Im using)

they are flat topped, but not milled or drilled.

I wonder if possibly that was part fi the IFS FSJ front they tried for a few years? I dont think it was a 44 though.

who knows, the most probable scenario is that someone else milled/drilled it a long time ago, or possibly a Chevy driverside knuckle thats pic has had the negative reversed?

Probably right hand drive. Export type thing maybe.

Either that or a reversed image.

Nope. It's the real deal.

It came off an axle that had a drivers side steering arm, the studs were still in the drivers knuckle (with rust marks where a steering arm was attached) when the passenger knuckle was take off.

This axle sits in a junk yard about 1 hour from me, minus the passengers knuckle.

(Anyone know how to post the picture of it rather than using the link?)

Guys, you can send a bare "flat top" to Bob Roggy and he will mill , drill and tap it. Then you go down to GM with these #'s
Stud-3965137, $5.85
Washer-3965138, $5.01
Nut-9442950, $1.39

And boom you have a "factory" flat top right nuckle.
P.S. I have two D44 Chevy complete axels with flat right nuckle I am tring to get rid of in Cincinnati.:vader2:

I have read that '83-85 Dodge pickups have the passenger side knuckle drilled and tapped already from the factory. So far I haven't found a Dodge of those years in the junkyards to check it out. Maybe this is one of them.?

Scout's have 8 bolt spindles and very distinctive knuckles that have very high arms.

How much does Roggy cost to do the conversion? I'm sending my to Avelanche Engeering to get mine done for $50/each.

Bob Roggy quoted that same price.
