First off does anyone know how far back the inner seals are supose to be in? because one of mine seems to seat 1/4 inch further. Also with my moser 1 piece axle kit they say that if the bearing sticks out past whatever the spec was to simply grind the bearing spacer what is the best way to do this and still keep the surface flat since if i do it with a file it definatley wont be. I was also wondering if the bearing spacer is supose to be seated up against the inner seal?

The seal goes in to to the lip inside the tube. The spacer should go up against the seal. An alternative to grinding the spacer would be to use shims between the tube end & backing plate.

are shims somthing i would be able to get from any old parts store

I doubt it, but any rear end shop will have them.
