I just finished with the painless lock-up kit and then put the fluid in...shifts fine thru all of the gears but it grinds when I try to put it back in park.....:confused: why is it doing that???

Just out of curiousity, is it hooked up to the drivetrain(driveshaft, axles, tires? If the drivetrain is not stopped it will grind, so If there is no driveshaft the t-case will continue to turn (even when in neutral and cause the grinding as the parking pawl engages.

If you have a frunt shaft throudh it in 4wd see if that stopes the grinding

if you have no way of slowing doan the transfer case output, it will grind. once you have a drive shaft in it, you won't have that problem anymore.;)
