I broke a RTE 3" rear spring today. I have never heard of that happening to anyone.

Here is the set up. 97 Disco 1, ARB FT and Rear, 35x12.50, blisten rear shocks, RTE rear springs and 1" spacers.

Possibility of my set up causing this to happen or justa fluke, defective spring?

and on the same token....I really need some new 3" rear springs ASAP if anyone has any.

That has to be a defective spring. I would give John at RTE a call.
I know guys running the same springs on some even more serious rigs, on some serious trails who have never broken a spring.

Any pics?

I was expecting a leafer not a coiler!

Anyways, I have never seen any coil break on a LR, even with the nice wheelies I pull...CAll John, he's a reasonnable guy, and he can help you out for sure...maybe even replace them free of charge???

:D

this is meant purely in jest:

If anyone could break it, you could.

I have set of 5" still in the box if you want. Make sure that you tell John at rovertime that when you call. He may want you to pick them up from me. Would save you freight. Call me at work if you want 3032986406. Also, I could be talked into selling my 759 copies from rovertym. currently on my truck, but I am willing to listen to offers. They are only about 9 months old.
