: Going to an EROCC event!
Lance 05-19-2003, 06:09 PM Shaffer and I decided we are going to head out east and run an EROCC event. We have decided on the final event in August. We are excited about it, and scared of the humidity!
I've been down to Cancun when it was incredibly humid, and it was brutal. And I didn't have to lug a Jeep around! So what can we expect for temperatures and humidity at Jellico in August? Let's hear it! ;)
We are also planning on staying a few days afterward to go hit Tellico, etc. with Mr. Durham and company. :)
Whaley Enterprises 05-19-2003, 06:28 PM so hot u wish u were dead.....
tubehead 05-19-2003, 06:32 PM The weather shouldn't be to bad in august. I would pack plenty of pants and sweatshirts. the temp should be in the mid 50's.
Go2Guy 05-19-2003, 07:49 PM I was pumping Tracy and Jason too, work them this weekend to come out for the same weekend!:D

Temps will only be in the 80's:

You can probably bet on relative humidity being in the 80's or 90's as well. It isn't "really" bad until the humidity gets to 95% or so :D
tubehead 05-20-2003, 08:01 AM Come awn out. You'll forget about the weather after a few obsticles. Anyway how much worse can it be than 110* in Cedar City, at least there is shade out here.
Whaley Enterprises 05-20-2003, 08:13 AM just watch the poison ivy on #9 like go2guy was saying,,,i think they need to rename it from dingleberry to scratch your ass off .....
jeepinchad 05-20-2003, 09:31 AM There'll be no ass scratchin' jokes. :flipoff2:

Oddly enough, there is... as of about a month ago, it was still under construction, though. You'll wanna hit the Caryville exit on your way into town (south of Jellico) for the taco bell.

Maybe Lance oughta be introduced to Popeyes or Krystal...:D
:D just got back from Moab and loved every minute of it , because I was in 100 degree temp and barly sweating , were in Jellico you will be sweating your ass off walking from the Hotel room to your tow rig at 7 A.m:D . On the other hand you won't be fighting with 100 spectators to find a shady spot under that one bush in the desert.
See you in august Bring it awn .
rugburn 05-27-2003, 07:59 PM Catfish tacos and cold beer in the heat of the South.
