Are you happy with your R6? I am considering buying one but I havent been able to test ride one or find someone who has or owns one. I am 6', 150lbs. I will most likely be taking girls on it. I have ridden off road for years so handling and power I can deal with. Should I go R1, and grow into it?

If ya have the money for an R1 go for it, once the bug bites, you ALWAYS want a bigger bike.


R6 is a rowdy little bike though very fast and nimble. Youll be happy with either Id bet you though

I miss my R6 every time I see another bike. I really liked it. I am 5.6 and weigh about 135 lbs. It was extremely fast by myself. With a passenger it was noticibly slower. Extremely nimble, it would carve. I want a gixxer 750 or a 929. Than I can take my wife for a ride.

Bettergo bigger than that. If you rode MX for a while, you'll probably slide right in to being comfortable on a 600. Then you'll be bored. Especially if you plan on doing a lot of "2-up" riding, the 600 will be sluggish with a passenger compared to a 1000. I had a 2001 GSXR750 and LOVED that bike. Usually had a passenger and hardly noticed her there.

I am looking for a bike to take trips on. I have come up with, gsxr 750, vfr 800, faser 1000, or possibly an R1.
