This morning, the BLM released its proposed Recreation Area Management
Plan for the Imperial Sand Dunes Recreation Area. This plan will govern
how the Dunes will be managed for the next 15 years. Today starts a
30-day protest period, the ASA will be studying the final document to see
what, if any, of our original comments were incorporated into the final
plan and formulate our position and if warranted, file protests.
