I have always taken it for granted that I would need to go to a D60 front eventually... but with the advent of the CTM U-joints I'm considering running those as a cheap alternative... anybody have any ideas on how Warn or equivalent axles would hold up in a D44 under an EB with these new joints? camo 11-21-2001, 03:11 PM probally a viable option. still to soon to tell for sure but they look promising. Or was it sonething else that broke? :confused: I had a retainer ring on my right, front, drive gear let go, and I busted a front drive shaft U joint. The CTM joints worked flawlessly, and I was hammering on them, all day. Those joints are tough. By the 4th course of the day, I had forgotten that I even had a D44 up front, and I mashed the pedal, anytime I needed with no worries.
