Currently running a tired 302... NP435... D20... D44 front with 5.39 gears and a Detroit... did I mention 38.5"x14.50" TSL/SX's. I have always taken it for granted that I would need to go to a D60 front eventually... but with the advent of the CTM U-joints I'm considering running those as a cheap alternative... anybody have any ideas on how Warn or equivalent axles would hold up in a D44 under an EB with these new joints?
probally a viable option. still to soon to tell for sure but they look promising.

They've still yet to have a failure with the 297x joint. Apparently they are delivering exactly the performance that we've been looking for.
Time WILL tell.

I had a retainer ring on my right, front, drive gear let go, and I busted a front drive shaft U joint.
The CTM joints worked flawlessly, and I was hammering on them, all day. Those joints are tough. By the 4th course of the day, I had forgotten that I even had a D44 up front, and I mashed the pedal, anytime I needed with no worries.
Jack Graef, trusts them enough that he is going to be offering a lifetime warranty.

Good to hear! You were definately hammering those things. After seeing them get abused and hearing that you didn't break one, I'm sold!
