You can take your "sign of honor" and shove it up your cornhole till it sits about where that tattoo is. You are a slow witted follower who has taken a racist song and stupidly put one of it's most offensive characters monikers across your chest to try to be cool. It isn't.

Dosn't really seem worth all the effort. All for a tattoo? there must be an easier way of supporting your band.

You have audio blinders too. There is nothing neutral about that song. It may not glorify the character in history, but it ain't shutting him down either.

That's because slayer just picks a bunch of psychopathic subjects to loosely base psychopathic songs on. There's no lesson in any of em.

Good, that's the second step in your recovery on PBB. The first was showing crappy curbside pics of some stripped jalopy you call your rig.

Third step is to learn how to Capitalize proper nouns and the first words in sentences, and how to use punctuation as needed.

Fouth step is to take a cold shower and stop getting your fawking heart rate up over some interweb arguement. You say the music makes your aggression go away, well you better spend some time this weekend listening.

I fully agree that what they wrote apprears neutral. Do I have to teach you about how people choose the subject matter that they write about? How they choose subjects that appeal to them? How The Grateful Dead and CCR don't have to SAY that they loved smoking pot in the songs they wrote. Just writing and singing the songs was enough for their audience to understand that they did it and condoned it.

Examine almost ALL songs. Most of them use a little thing called "inference". That's where they write about a subject and put an emotional feeling into the music. Like with Slayer, they write aggressive lyrics about burtal subjects and sing them in a thrash metal pounding way that makes all of their fans mosh and thrash together and I'm supposed to think that they didn't mean anything by writing this song? BULL. SHIT.

You know it and I know it and the fact that they refuse to admit the real reasons that they wrote that song so they don't put their OWN ass in a sling does not make it true.

And BTW, if you consider what you are doing to be defending yourself and your tat, you haven't been reading this thread very well ass munch.

The reason you tattoo something is to display it to the world. What you need to realize are the conotations the average person has with it.

Not everyone listens to Slayer, but most people know about the crazy assholes that butchered jews during WWII

I know you say...Fawk what they think...maybe that is why you tattooed it, but you need to realize that you are going to be getting this shit for the rest of your life.

It's just another one of those things in life that aren't fair. The general public screams loudly at any perceived slight against the Jews or African Americans but thinks the Natives shouldn't be bothered when they are portrayed as caricatures and mascots of sports teams.

Not all tribes feel that way. There was a tribe in Illinois (I believe) that said they considered it an honor to have the tribes name as a part of the nearby HS teams name.

While I tend to agree that a generalisation maybe considered racist, it seems that most people who are offended are white.

And I'm only part Native American (also), so I won't say that I really know how all Native Americans feel.

Many more Bands than not dislike the way they as a people are used in pro sports.
Atlanta Braves is a prime example. The team crests are ridiculous and show no regard for a whole race of people.Does white America give a shit?I don't think, so but say one bad thing about Jews and you have everybody crawling up your ass to give you hell.
The hypocrisy and inconsistencies are appalling.

Here is a poignant little quote from the American Indian Movement site......
" To reduce the victims of genocide to a mascot is unthinking, at least, and immoral at worst."

Imagine the outcry if a team was using a caricature with a star of david inspired mascot?"the New York Jews"?
Little black Sambo?"the Los Angels Africans"?
"the Cincinnati Wops" with a goofy looking Italian mascot?

I would venture a guess that it depends on how the mascot is portrayed. I would think that the majority of Native Americans find the Cleveland Indians logo/ Redskins moniker offensive whereas perhaps they may not if the mascot and theme of the team was used in good taste (by their judgement) and focused on the dignity and honor of their cultures.

Rest assured, I believe that my example is the minority. It also references a specific band vice a generic name like the Braves or the Redskins.

I think though, it should be the Philadelphia Mick's and the Cincinnati Krauts. That way I'll have two teams to complain about. :flipoff2:

So.. Yeah.. After 15 pages of discussion on both sides, and a few MBFD booty shots, we have come to the conclusion of what, exactly???

I called INFAMOUSBUTCHER an anti-semitic racist. Yes, it was me. Paz is a decent guy, and did not point that out directly, but yes, it was me. I personally cannot find any other reason for the train of thought and the lineage of relationship that would cause a young man to permanantly emblazon those words upon his chest for all the world to see for the rest of his life. Yes, what I wrote in that first response was written in the heat of shock, anger, and exasperation. However, unlike some, I still stand by those words I have previously put forth, because of the fact that in over 15 pages of posting, I have yet to userstand exactly why IB chose those specific words for the tattoo.

Now, IB has admitted that he listens to Slayer as a method of Anger Management/Anger Release. I can definitely understand this. I myself have anger management and stress relief methods. I am positive that every person here does. My personal question was, and still is, why IB chose to align himself with the name Infamous Butcher, which he got from the Slayer song Angel Of Death.

In this particular song, the term Infamous Butcher is used in reference to a person who enjoys torturing and mutilating the Jews - most likely Josef Mengele. So, by following the lineage, the term Infamous Butcher, as taken from this connotation in this particular song is a synonym for the proper name of Josef Mengele. Therefore, having the name Infamous Butcher on one's chest as a result of this song is the same as having the name Joseph Mengele permanantly emblazoned on one's chest.

The only connection that I can personally find from this particular usage of the term Infamous Butcher is of honor and respect of Joseph Mengele. I am sorry, but that is the only connection that I can construe based on the knowledge and information that I have at my disposal.

Now, I still challenge IB, if he so chooses, to explain to me in a mature, thought out banter, any other interpretation of this particular chain of connections. I am more than willing to retract my statements should I be unequivocally proven wrong.

I am not challenging that slayer wrote a song with the subject matter of the historical terrors at Auschwitz. I am not challenging that this song, and that the band Slayer, have personal and deep-felt meaning to IB. Aside from all of the banter and mudslinging that has happened in this thread, I am only wanting to know, in a lucid and intelligent manner, precisely and exactly how the two words 'INFAMOUS BUTCHER" mean so much to you that you feel the desire to permanantly mark yourself with these words for us, and the whole world to see, and to make first impression judgements on.

Please take your time writing your response so as to reflect your true emotion and purpose, If you so choose. Do not feel obligated to respond to this post. Only know that not responding means that you have no chance to sway my opinion of you. Yes, I know that you do not care what I think of you, or your tatoo. I am only asking you to do this for the betterment of my personal understanding of humanity and of the mindset in which you exist. That should others benefit from the inevitable education that this small bit of information would provide, would only be a bonus.

Slayer isn't a anti-semitist band.
The song isn't anti-semitist.
I really don't think IB is anti-semitist,probably got that tattoo and thinks it pretty cool.No doubt he never even considered the implications of what that name would represent to some people. He is guilty of being insensitive but who isn't?

Nobody gets too much heaven no more
It's much harder to come by
I'm waiting in line
Nobody gets too much love anymore
It's as high as a mountain
And harder to climb

Oh you and me girl
Got a lot of love in store
And it flows through you
And it flows through me
And I love you so much more
Then my life..I can see beyond forever
Ev'rything we are will never die
Loving's such a beautiful thing
Oh you make my world.. a summer day
Are you just a dream to fade away

Nobody gets too much heaven no more
It's much harder to come by
I'm waiting in line
Nobody gets too much love anymore
It's as high as a mountain
And harder to climb

You and me girl got a highway to the sky
We can turn away from the night and day
And the tears you had to cry
You're my life..
I can see a new tomorrow
Ev'rything we are will never die
Loving's such a beautiful thing
When you are to me, the light above
Made for all to see our presious love

Nobody gets too much heaven no more
It's much harder to come by
I'm waiting in line
Nobody gets too much love anymore
It's as high as a mountain
And harder to climb

Love is such a beautiful thing
You make my world a summer day
Are you just a dream to fade away

Nobody gets too much heaven no more
It's much harder to come by
I'm waiting in line
Nobody gets too much love anymore
It's as high as a mountain
And harder to climb

Nobody gets too much love anymore
It's as wide as a river and harder to cross

Nobody gets too much heaven no more
It's much harder to come by
I'm waiting in line
Nobody gets too much love anymore
It's as high as a mountain
And harder to climb (repeat and fade)

Sitting on this barstool talking like a damn fool
Got the twelve o'clock news blues
And I've given up hope on the afternoon soaps
And a bottle of cold brew
Is it any wonder I'm not crazy? Is it any wonder I'm sane at all
Well I'm so tired of losing- I got nothing to do and all day to do it
I go out cruisin' but I've no place to go and all night to get there
Is it any wonder I'm not a criminal?
Is it any wonder I'm not in jail?
Is it any wonder I've got

Too much time on my hands, it's ticking away with my sanity
I've got too much time on my hands, it's hard to believe such a calamity
I've got too much time on my hands and it's ticking away from me
Too much time on my hands, too much time on my hands
Too much time on my hands

Well, I'm a jet fuel genius - I can solve the world's problems
Without even trying
I have dozens of friends and the fun never ends
That is, as long as I'm buying
Is it any wonder I'm not the president
(He's not the president)
Is it any wonder I'm null and void?
Is it any wonder I've got

Too much time on my hands, it's ticking away at my sanity
I've got too much time on my hands, it's hard to believe such a calamity
I've got too much time on my hands and it's ticking away from me
Too much time on my hands, too much time on my hands
Too much time on my hands

I'm not sure the greater tragedy, this thread or my reading it. Looks like quite a few posters need to call 1-800-dial-a-therapist. Many have sliding fees........please consider it before breeding.

okay i read all but the last few pages because honestly I got sick of the same argument over and over, but I do have one thing to add, a small english lesson for the infamous bitcher.
When reading a literary work for the sake of analysis of its content/ true meaning, it is said that there is no such thing as a priveledged reading. What that means is if The songwriter for Slayer came over to my house and had tea with me and we began discussing the meaning of the song and who the Infamous Butcher is, what he represents and the meaning/ significance of the phrase and we came to completely different conclusions, then my conclusion is 100% as credible as his. In case you cant see where Im going with this, what it means is that you tatooed it on your body because it has a meaning to you, and that meaning is correct. When I see it, I interpret it as a glorification of the Infamous Butcher who in this thread I learned refers to Dr Mengele. Now we disagree, guess what... youre right, but so am I. As a result you are not only spreading your meaning but inadvertantly spreading mine because mine is every bit as true as yours, in fact it is most likely a more common interpretation, provided the observer has the necessary knowledge to draw any conclusion whatsoever. As a result, people may become uncomfortable by it. Your placing it permantly on your body shows your own ignorance and those who react differently from what you claim to want are right in doing so. In addition I believe that people who tatoo controversial things, or dress freaky (ie: goths, punks, etc) do so for the reaction, which is why I have no problem telling them to stfu when they get pissed over someone staring, YOU BROUGHT THIS ON YOURSELF DEAL WITH IT.

-my train of though may have derailed horribly, so I hope you get the idea, its late.

BTT :flipoff2:

Census Data indicates that the population in the Montgomery decreased by approximately 21% in the last ten years. This decrease appears to be directly proportional with the decreased enrollment of WVUIT. West Virginia University recently acquired West Virginia Institute of Technology. This is likely to increase future enrollment. However, recent data indicates that enrollment has decreased approximately 22% in the last ten years.
Free space and developable land is limited in the Montgomery area. Small lots are scattered through residential and commercial areas. Most large tracts of developable land are owned by coal and timber companies. These properties are not likely to be developed in the near future.
It is unlikely that the Montgomery area will experience a significant population increase. Limited free space and a decline in local jobs are contributing factors to the recent decline in population. Based upon the decline in the population in the last ten years, it can be assumed that the population will continue to decline.
