Sorry, I know there are a million posts and threads on Toyota high steer, but there is no info on this specific aspect of them...I've searched this site (and others) plenty of times on it...

So, are there any that work with stock length Tie Rod and Relay Rod/Drag Link for an FJ60 or are custom lengths required for everyone of them? (I know about taper for TRE's--that's not the issue here--it's the length. And I know about strength of custom vs stock rods--that's not the issue here either--it's LENGTH). I know a double-arm works with stock length rods, but what about high steer arms? I have checked all the places that have them, and none of them state whether or not they work with stock rods. They all sell the arms separate from full kits, and that's what brings me to this question...

I know the Rockstomper, Marlin and All-Pro ones will require at least shortening your stock stuff and retapping it....

I might know someone with the correct taps... :D

We have shortened the tie-rod and draglinks on FJ60's to work correctly and I run the FJ60 stuff on my 40 as well.

Dude, let me know! :D I ought to just call you whenever I have a question I swear! If you can get those taps, looks like I'll be bringin' some rods down with me when I bring my axle for the cut and turn... and hopefully I'll be bringin' another surprise back with me as well... :D

All Pro has a kit for the FJ60 & 62. The kit is $459 and includes pitman arm, steering arms, cut to length heavy duty tie rod, drag link and four 80 series ends. Once the spring over is done this kit is a bolt on. The tie rod is specially cut longer for the 60 & 62 kits.

The Rockbuggysupply kit comes with 2 lengths of 1.25" x .250 DOM tubing that you cut to whatever length YOU need, weld in the inserts, and thread in the TRE's...

Piece of cake...
