If not what do I need to do it?

you need the Cast Iron bell housing from a Truck/Bronco/Econoline. 240/300 six or 302/351W will be the same. These bellhousings will use the larger 164 tooth flywheel. If you're flywheel came out of a Truck/bronco(EB or Fullsize)/Econoline will be the larger size. The smaller 157 tooth flywheel(this referes to the ring-gear tooth count) only came in cars and will be mated with the aluminum bellhousings.

The only long input shaft NP-435 that I know of came on 1965 F-100 4x4, '65/'66 F-250 4x4, '65/'66 F-350 4x2. This was an NP-435 that was mated to the 352 FE big-block. I do-not know if it is the same one used with the 240/300 I6 used in '65/'66 F-350 4x2.

Starting in 1967 they SHOULD all be short input shaft AFAIK.

Thanks Joe and Alpo....sounds like all I need then is to find a bellhousing and posssibly a flywheel depending on what it has in it...

Search out the older Ford trucks. Any of the motors Alpo lists and about any non-auto tranny. The 435 will bolt up to where a 3 speed or 4 speed was.

You can type drunk pretty good. :flipoff2:
