All,
I just got word from my Colorado club about a horrific accident. All I know is there was a rolloever(6 or 7 times) and Cindy Beaudean was struck by the rolling vehicle. She was taking pictures and the bottom of a hill. Her condition is unknown at this point but she was hurt badly. He husband Paul and her always welcomed everyone is to our sport and their hearts. Please include them in your prayers. I'll post when I know more.
Praying for you Paul and Cindy,
Cord
I don't know them, but that is really sad to hear. Good luck.:(

From a trip report on colorado4x4.org: http://www.colorado4x4.org/cgi-bin/ubb/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=11;t=000393;p=1#000 003
The day started out pretty good, there was my brother(Paintgunner)in his YJ with our friend Steve, Ben in his '84 Toy and myself in my '83 Toy. I smashed my truck up pretty good on the first obstacle but made it eventually without taking a strap. The other's made it with no problems. The day was going pretty good with no more than sheet metal damage until we got to the off camber area.
There was a Cherokee that had a nasty roll over. Either rolled over a woman or hit her when it rolled, but it was bad. When we got there some paramedics had arrived on ATV's and with a member of the group that had went for help but they couldn't get an ambulance or transportation to her.
She had a broken leg, head injuries, possible broken hip and possible broken ankle. They got her onto a backboard and since I had the only truck with a bed she was put into the back of my pickup.
Luckily 21 rd has the easy road running alongside the wash or it would've been a really nasty drive out. It was a long slow ride with her, 4 medics and her husband riding in the bed but I eventually got her to where the ambulance was waiting near the beginning of the canyon and they took her to a helicopter.
I don't know too many details, it was a group of members of the Bighorn 4x4 club in Co. Springs. If anyone knows anything more about how she's doing info would be appreciated.
Be careful out there.

Ditto on the help brad
I don't think it will hurt the wheeling community. It is sad that something like this has to happen at all but, hopefully it will remind us and spectators that our sport can be extremely dangerous.
Thanks all,
Cord

"I was visiting Cindy today and she is doing well, but it will be a long and
painful recovery (a month in the Denver Health hospital and more after
that). That hospital doesn't offer cable and Cindy is already missing
reading her emails. Is there anyone who can lend her a laptop? She would
really get a lot of use out of a laptop and it would help her recovery be
less tedious.
Thank you,
Leah Bork"
