Intake leaking real bad now, so I got both types of gaskets before I pull it down, guy says big & small, well either looks like it will work, old was composite, and there was a ton of extra hanging out top. Ok experts what one & why? and I have some black hi temp ultra black silicone for the cork front and rear, do I put any on the intake around the waterv passages? Oh ya FULLSIZE, no thremastat:D Did you do that? I'll put a 180* in, the tempo 2 speed fan will not let this thing overheat anymore:D
thx guyz

Well thremostats do serve a purpose:flipoff2: :flipoff2: :flipoff2: they tend to keep the oil from sludging upp on short runs.....to late for this motor:flipoff2:

340 and 360 have the large ports, use the blue teflon-coated fel-pro gaskets. 273 and 318 have small ports and use the bare stamped aluminum gaskets (unless the ports have been opened up).
