I would like to see pics of some front links that people have done on their cruisers.
I am thinking that I should say Funk the front FJ60 axle and stick with the front 40 until I link the whole dam thing....
Ideas?
Am I actualy even going to see the difference between the front and rear axle width differences..

Mace,
Put that 60 axle in there and forget it. It is easier than you think, just DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Here are the pics from when I did my swap. I used the Dodge perches.

Tom, did you cut into the housing?

No I didn't. I would have considered doing that if I had more time, but I was in a bit of a hurry to get ready for a LSLC run. I DID notch a small part of the 3rd member lip, but that was all.

I assume that the axle is NOT offset to one side?

Mace,
The axle is still offset about 1", but it is hard to tell. I have not had anyone that has noticed so far. I was worried about it at first, then realized that I was over-thinking the whole thing.

forget to mention that you can always rin a 1" spacer on the short side to even things out.

thats not such a good idea, as your steering and ackerman angles will be shot, as well as thing about the scrub radius of the tyre with a spacer. I would hate to think of you changing lanes at 60mph + within a 3.5metre gap (one of the safety requirements over here) it owuld be full weird in the steering.
